World Is One Charity Concert Will Go Live On YouTube On October 30

It will be streamed live on October 30, 8PM KST, via MBC's Kpop channel.

To help children in need who are suffering due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Korean broadcasting company MBC and World Vision are teaming up for a charity concert. Called ‘World is One 2021’, the concert will bring together Korean and international artists on the same stage to perform their hits to raise funds for those affected by the global health crisis.

Here are the Korean artists and groups that will be taking the stage to help the cause.

Stray Kids

Stray Kids is an eight-piece boy group formed by JYP Entertainment. They debuted in 2017 after finishing a reality show of the same name.


The boy group debuted in 2019, with RBW as their management. Their members are Ravn, Seoho, Leedo, Keonhee, Hwanwoong, and Xion.


JYP Entertainment’s ITZY is composed of Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna. They debuted in 2019 with the release of their first single album, ‘It’z Different’.


12-member girl group LOONA debuted in 2016, with each member being revealed in a pre-debut project spanning the last 18 months before their debut.


Girl group MAMAMOO’s member, Solar, will be performing without her members at the charity concert. She debuted as a soloist in 2020.


High Up Entertainment’s six-member group STAYC debuted in 2020 with the debut single album ‘Star to a Young Culture’.


Debuting in 2017, ONF is a boy group from WM Entertainment. Originally a seven-piece group, ONF now only has six members. (Read: 3 Reasons To Check Out SEVENTEEN’s New Album, ‘Attacca’)


Six-member rookie group WEi consists of Jang Dae-hyeon, Kim Dong-han, Yoo Yong-ha, Kim Yo-han, Kang Seok-hwa and Kim Jun-seo. They are managed by Oui Entertainment.

NCT 127

NCT 127 is the first fixed and second overall sub-unit of the 23-member group, NCT. They debuted as a seven-piece group in July 2016.


Complete in X or CIX is a group formed by C9 Entertainment. They debuted on July 23, 2019 with five members.


Girl group SECRET NUMBER debuted on May 19, 2020 with the single album ‘Who Dis?’. They are part of Vine Entertainment.


Spire Entertainment’s OMEGA X is composed of 11 members namely Hangyeom, Jaehan, Hwichan, Sebin, Taedong, Xen, Jehyun, Kevin, Junghoon, Hyuk, Yechan. They debuted just last June.

Solo artist Sonnet was the winner of The Voice Korea 2012, and is a frequent guest on the show Immortal Songs 2. She has also appeared in King of Mask Singer.

Forte Di Quattro

As the name implies, Forte Di Quattro is a quartet formed through the competition Phantom Singer. The group debuted in 2017 with an epnoymous album.

New Hope Club

New Hope Club, sometimes referred to as NHC, is a British pop trio composed of Reece Bibby, Blake Richardson, and George Smith. They have been active in the music scene since 2015. (Read: From Live Music to Zoom Gigs: How Filipino Band Brisom Is Coping in the New Normal)


Christopher is a 29-year-old Danish singer. He is also a big act in South Korea, with some of his songs entering the Gaon Music Chart–a list that tabulates the weekly hit songs in the country.

Siedah Garrett

American singer-songwriter Siedah Garrett is most known for co-writing Michael Jackson’s hit song, ‘Man in the Mirror’. She has also done backing vocals for him and other artists including Donna Summer, Jennifer Hudson, and Madonna.

SeHwang Kim & Orianthi

SeHwang Kim is a South Korean guitarist, singer-songwriter, and arranger, who was a member of the rock band, N.E.X.T. Meanwhile, Orianthi is an Australian musician who rehearsed with Michael Jackson for his ‘This Is It’ concert series. Her most popular song is the 2009 hit, ‘According to You’. The two now perform as a duo in Los Angeles.


Former Police songwriter and bassist Sting will be performing alongside new acts during the concert. One of his former rock band’s songs is the hit ‘Every Breath You Take’.

Now United

Now United is a global pop group composed of 18 members from 18 different countries, including Bailey May, who previously joined the reality show Pinoy Big Brother.
