If you ask anyone over the age of 25 what iconic show came out of the ’90s, many would probably answer Friends.
The show top-billed by Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Matthew Perry began in 1994 and ended after a 10-year run, but is still making waves even amongst the younger generations. (Read: 4 Simple Prayers for Beloved Friends)
This is why when news came that the original cast has just finished filming the special “reunion” episode with the co-creators onboard, many got so excited and couldn’t wait for it. So while we wait for its long-awaited release, why not we find out which Friends character you are in your barkada?
The Outgoing and Friendly: Rachel Green
Rachel is the popular girl in their Friends barkada. She’s very outgoing and friendly, and the person you’d run to for fashion advice. But apart from being a social butterfly, Rachel is also a daddy’s girl!
The ‘Best Cook’ in the Group: Monica Geller
Monica LOVES being in the kitchen and cooking. And she’s definitely one you’d allow touching your cupboards, pots, and pans— because, among the group, she is the best cook! She’s the one you can run to if you want someone to talk you out of acting out because of feelings. Monica is the mom of the group and glues all the Friends characters together.
The ‘Mom’ of the Barkada: Phoebe Buffay
Being a Phoebe Buffay means you have almost anything in your bag! Think Doraemon or Hermione’s bag, an endless pit you can just get the stuff you need from. As quirky as she is, she still considers her friends as her family! (Read: The Stars Who Left Grey’s Anatomy: Where Are They Now?)
The Jokester Among Friends: Chandler Bing
Chandler is the jokester of the group— jokes all around whenever he’s in the room. He’s one to make fun of you in a non-offensive way which will also make you laugh! Chandler is such a jokester that he masks his feelings with witty remarks.
The Nerdy Romantic: Ross Geller
Ross is the ‘nerdy’ one of the group— he was a paleontologist at the Museum of Natural History before becoming a professor of paleontology at the New York University. He’s also a hopeless romantic, that sometimes has a sense of fragile masculinity.
The Sweet and Charming: Joey Tribbiani
If your friends call you sweet and charming, you just might be the Joey of the group! He’s very outgoing and likes to meet women. But even with his outgoing personality, Joey is still a sensitive person deep inside. And he doesn’t stop until he achieves his goals— he kept auditioning for roles until he got a huge one.
