Watsons’ Sustainability Program Inspires People To Do Good For The Environment

More brands should be part of this global effort!

As the world continues to gear towards a more sustainable environment, more and more brands are advocating the same. For one, health and beauty brand Watsons launched “Social Purpose and Sustainability Vision 2030” which pledges actionable responses to the call for responsible consumption and production through its global operations. 

The Watsons Sustainability program pledges to restore thousands of perfect smiles through life-changing free surgeries to kids with cleft palates, to reduce tons of carbon dioxide emissions and to offer more sustainable choices in stores. ‘Look Good, Feel Great’


Furthermore, Watsons have been advocating for its consumers, partners, and stores to “Do Good”– the heart of its “Look Good, Feel Great” campaign for years now. Through this, the brand commits to “clean beauty” protocol from its “clean ocean” initiatives.

“Watsons has always been at the forefront of sustainability since its founding 180 years ago. In recent years, we’ve invested in various initiatives that take our commitment to the planet that sustains us all. And we are very glad that our customers and supplier partners have been very open to help Do Good for the planet through Watsons Sustainability programs,” Watsons general manager, Danilo Chiong said.

In 1841, Watsons founder, Alexander Skirving Watsons gave free medicine to those who needed them. This practice has been passed on from one generation to another. Do Good Together 

Locally, Watsons Philippines is instituting social and environmental changes in the ecosystem with its holistic sustainability program with a shared mission to inspire change and make an impact anchored on four pillars: Planet, Community, People, and Customers. 

With its more than 900 stores nationwide, Watsons Philippines is calling for its stakeholders to “Do Good Now” while encouraging its millions of customers and partners to “Do Good Together” by making responsible and sustainable choices. Part of its local efforts includes reducing environmental footprint with a goal of 65,000 kg. of trash collected from the Trash for Cash program and 40 million plastic bottles to be recycled for projects towards a sustainable planet. 

They have also given 3,300 “perfect smiles” through their free cleft surgeries and medicines to the needy in several communities.
