As more COVID-19 variants continue to emerge and threaten the lives of many, celebrities are encouraging Filipinos to get vaccinated against the virus as soon as they can.

In order to boost public trust in the safety and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines, Pinoy celebrities have started to use their platforms to share their own experiences in receiving the shot.

Celebrity couple Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli each received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, urging their followers to do the same.

“Sarah and I are done with our 1st dose! Let’s do this not just for ourselves but for our families, friends and kababayans! Get vaccinated!”

TV host Bianca Gonzalez revealed getting emotional after receiving her COVID-19 vaccine.

“I got most emotional looking at my card. The past months, I would see those around me na Senior or A3 getting their doses, and I could not help but feel, ‘Sana ako din.’ Our ates at home got theirs too because they are A3 (with co-morbidities). And ito na! Nakakaiyak. Thank you Lord. Thank you to all the health workers and volunteers and LGUs and officials for doing the work you do!”

The PBB alum also encouraged her followers to register at their respective local government units to get vaccinated.

The actor-TV host gave tip for those getting vaccinated: Don’t wear tight shirts.

In a hilarious social media post, Ryan described his COVID-19 experience as his “most daring role ever” as he showed himself taking off part of his shirt and covering his chest while a health worker administered the vaccine.

“Warning: Wag mag-polong mahigpit para bakuna’y hindi sumabit.”

Kapamilya star Anne Curtis-Smith urged the public to get vaccinated in order to ensure everyone’s safety.

“I would like to encourage you na magparehistro na po para magpabakuna. This is for yourself, your family, and for all your loved ones during this time, to make sure that you stay safe and you stay healthy.”
