Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the community quarantine that is being imposed in the country, schooling at all levels has been greatly affected as the academic year has been cut short to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and all other school staff.
The Department of Education (DepEd) has suggested that school should start by August, as the Department of Health (DOH) affirms it will be safe to do so, as long as health protocols are observed. However, there is still no assurance to this day if the government will allow holding physical classes in the coming months. (Read: How are universities coping with the impacts of COVID-19?)
Because of this, students are forced to study at home on their own to continue learning despite the pandemic. However, this is not an ideal set up to most students, especially those in high school or college, who learn better with guidance from a teacher or an expert from the said subject.
