Back in June 2020, current De La Salle University (DLSU) undergraduate Euson Go started ‘The Taft Initiative’. A movement that helps others, The Taft Initiative has benefited many individuals greatly affected by the pandemic we are facing.
Previously, they had a project that helped struggling food businesses and those experiencing hunger, as they used financial donations to purchase food from small businesses which they then gave to those in need. (Read: 4 Concertgoers Share What They Miss About Attending Live Events)

For their anniversary, The Taft Initiative will be holding a fundraising concert called “Tahanan – The Taft Initiative’s Anniversary Fundraising Concert”. This is the grand event of the two-month-long fundraising drive they started on June 5.
The concert will be headlined by Kamara and Martti Franca and will feature other OPM artists from different universities. It will be streamed live on the student-led organization’s Facebook page on July 31, starting at 6 PM.
The group has partnered with Hospicio de San Jose, one of the oldest charitable institutions in the country, for the event. (Read: Pope Appoints Filipino Prelate as Apostolic Nuncio in Israel, Cyprus)
The fundraising drive will end on August 7, and the organization hopes to raise P100,000 by then. The funds gathered from donations will help Hospicio de San Jose’s housing project, the Dude, Pantry, Chong! initiative, and Small Taft Enterprises.
As of July 26, they have already raised P44,180 through various activities and projects.
