Earlier this month, Pope Francis announced that he will be going on a Slovakia-Budapest trip from September 12 to 15. During the trip, he will be concelebrating the concluding Mass of the 52nd International Eucharistic Congress in Budapest, Hungary.
According to Matteo Bruni of the Holy See Press Office, Pope Francis was invited by civil authorities and the Episcopal Conferences, and he gladly accepted.

September 12, Sunday
Pope Francis will be flying to Budapest on September 12. His flight is from the Fiumicino International Airport in Rome, and he will arrive at 7:45 AM at the Budapest International Airport. The pope will then meet with Hungary’s bishops and representatives of the Ecumenical Council of Churches and Jewish communities.
In the afternoon, he will concelebrate the concluding Mass at the 52nd International Eucharistic Congress. Afterward, he will travel to Bratislava, Slovakia.
September 13, Monday
A courtesy visit to Slovakia’s president will happen in the morning. In the afternoon, Pope Francis will be meeting with political leaders and will have an encounter with Bishops, Priests, and Religious.
September 14, Tuesday
Pope Francis will go to Košice to preside over the Divine Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom. He will then meet with the Roma community and the youth before going back to Bratislava.
September 15, Wednesday
The pope will be presiding over a Mass at the National Shrine in Šaštin. He will then be flying back to Rome after a farewell ceremony.
