Quarantine Update: Here’s where you can shop for groceries while in lockdown

As we’re approaching the fourth week of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in Luzon, some of us are probably running low on stocks—may it be vegetables and meat, or snacks such as biscuits and chips. And with public transportation still halted, it is more difficult to go to places. Luckily, some groceries are available online to help those who don’t have private cars or those who currently can’t go to the grocery.

Here are three online groceries where you can get your fresh produce, snacks, and everything else you need during this quarantine.

MetroMart | TechShake

This online grocery accommodates orders for the following groceries and stores: Farmer’s Market, Generika Drugstore, Pan de Manila, Pet Express, Robinsons Supermarket, Rustan’s Marketplace, S&R Membership Shopping, Shopwise, and Watsons.

Just download the Metromart App available on Google Playstore and App Store to order. You can also order via their website.

Lazmart is the grocery store of the popular online shopping website Lazada. It has everything you need to keep you properly fed during the quarantine.

You can order through their website or their app available on Android and iOS.

Some restaurants are also making their products available for purchase as packaged, ready-to-cook meals. Jollibee has made their famous chickenjoy available at SM supermarkets, while their other brand Mang Inasal has made several menu items available for the public to purchase. Their signature paa, spicy paa, and pecho chicken are frozen, ready-to-cook, and sold at P287 to P329 for five pieces. Even their popular chicken oil is sold at P124 for a liter!

You may check this link for other restaurants and food chains that are open for delivery during the quarantine period.

Groceries and supermarkets have also adjusted their store hours to accommodate more shoppers. Check their new store hours here.
