3 Reasons You Should Watch ‘Mitchells vs. The Machines’ on Netflix

Now here's a movie perfect for the whole family!

It’s almost the weekend once again, which means we have two rest days we can spend with our family at home. We can have a picnic in our backyard, have an afternoon full of baking and cooking, or have a movie night on Saturday and Sunday.

Mitchells vs. The Machines is a movie about a family of four and their dog who have to save the world from a robot apocalypse. While the plot itself ensures a film packed with fun and excitement for the entire family, we still know three other reasons why this movie is a must-watch. Read below!

If you liked the first-ever animated movie in the Spider-Man franchise, then you’re sure to like Mitchells vs. The Machines, too! Its producer, Sony Pictures Animations, is the same team behind Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse and the popular The LEGO Movie which was released in 2014.

For any of you who do not know, Rotten Tomatoes is a website where film and TV show critics can score movies and shows they’ve seen. And for its April 23 theatrical release, Mitchells vs. The Machines has already had a 96% approval rating!

Critics have noted that the movie was energetic and eye-catching— which made watching all the more appealing.

#3: The Movie Has a Star-Studded Voice Cast!

Maya Rudolph from the decades-long show Saturday Night Live (SNL) lends her voice to Linda Mitchell, the mom. Meanwhile, Olivia Colman of The Crown voices PAL, a Siri-like virtual assistant. (Read: Meet the Asian Women Who Will Voice ‘Raya and the Last Dragon’)

Not just that! Famous NBA player Blake Griffin is also part of the cast as one of the robots from the PAL Labs! And celebrity dog Doug the Pug serves as Monchi, the Mitchells’ family dog.
