Well, you’re in luck because the first ever IKEA store in the Philippines has finally opened today, November 25! The Swedish furniture store that is globally known for its easy to assemble furniture has finally opened its physical store to the public.
Located at the Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City, the IKEA Philippines store is the biggest one in the world yet! The entire store measures to around 68,000 square meters–the size of 150 basketball courts–and holds more than 8,000 products. (Read: Finally! Five floors high
The IKEA store in Pasay actually has five floors! The showroom and market hall, which displays everything from furniture to appliances to toys and decor to even planters for all the plantitas and plantitos out there, cover two floors of the building. And the rest of the floors dedicated to stocks and e-commerce operations.
The popular IKEA Swedish meatballs will also be available at the store’s restaurant, along with other items like vegan and vegetarian options, as well as hotdogs and ice cream. Award winning local chocolate brand Auro has also announced that they will be opening their first physical branch at the IKEA store this December! Those who want to drop by the store must book an appointment as they are limiting the number of customers in store in accordance with current COVID-19 health protocols in place.
