Despite already having a handful of choices for vaccines available in the market, COVID-19 is still affecting millions around the world. In the Philippines, thousands of Filipinos are still reported every day for being positive for the disease, and worse, hundreds still succumb to it daily.
With the isolation, grief is harder to manage because you have to face it physically alone at home, with no one to talk to most of the time. Everything tends to be more overwhelming these days because of the isolation and fear brought about by the pandemic. (Read: How does one cope with loss and grief while in isolation?)
Let us pray for everyone, especially families who are facing their toughest and darkest days yet, that we may all be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We also pray that those dealing with grief due to the death of loved ones may find comfort in knowing that their loved ones are at peace with the Lord.
A Prayer for Families In Grief
I know I am weak Lord, so I will allow you to carry me through this valley. I struggle to think clearly, so I depend upon your living word to lift me.
I feel such darkness around, so I look to your light. I walk with a heavy heart, so I will give you each burden.
I wonder if my heart can take the strain, so I rest in your love and peace. I light a candle tonight to remind me of the warm glow of your hope in dark places.
