Netflix to Launch Docuseries Based on Pope Francis’s Book

"Sharing the Wisdom of Time" features inspiring stories of elders around the world.

Online streaming service Netflix is set to produce an original documentary series based on Pope Francis’s book, Sharing the Wisdom of Time

The book was originally published in 2018 and features a collection of inspiring and heartwarming stories about elders from around the world. Divided into five thematic chapters (work, struggle, love, death, and hope), Sharing the Wisdom of Time features reflections from Pope Francis as an introduction for every chapter. It was edited by Father Antonio Spadaro and first published by Loyola Press in the United States. (Read: 3 Must-See Documentaries About Pope Francis)

In his Preface, Pope Francis writes, “Only the testimony of the elders will help young people look above the horizon to see the stars. Just learning that it was worth fighting for something will help young people face the future with hope”.
