Remember during the start of the quarantine period, when everyone was saying that 2020 is like an episode of Black Mirror? Well, as it turns out, the creators of the Netflix anthology heard us and took the idea seriously.
Believe it or not, the people behind Black Mirror decided to channel *major 2020 energy* in an upcoming comedy project with Netflix. In fact, just last Monday, the online streaming platform already released the teaser for Death to 2020— a “mockumentary,” as the producers would like to call it, created by Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones.
While the teaser doesn’t reveal much about the project other than the fact that it is about the year 2020, it seems like that is the entire point. “Even the creators of Black Mirror couldn’t make this year up,” reads the clip. “But they do have something to add.” (Read: 3 Filipino Films Coming to Netflix This December)
In the final seconds of the teaser, the words “Death to 2020” flash up on the screen, as well as the information that the new episode will— indeed— be coming soon.
