LIST: The Quirkiest Name Suggestions For Pasig City’s COVID-19 Laboratory

From "LabMoPa" to "Pasig CHUVA," these name suggestions will surely make you chuckle!

For months now, Pasig City has been at the forefront of good governance, especially in the response to COVID-19 crisis. For one, Pasig was among the first cities to offer bicycles to its frontliners when transportation became a problem during the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).

Now, Pasig has once again stepped up its game. On August 7, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto announced that the city’s own molecular diagnostic laboratory is near 100% completion. The lab can be used for COVID-19 testing and processing of results. And when the pandemic is finally over (hopefully soon!), Mayor Vico says that the laboratory can be used for dengue, HIV, and other diseases. As of writing, the laboratory is yet to be registered to the Department of Health because it needs a name. This has prompted the millennial mayor to asked netizens for suggestions— with a warning that they cannot suggest “Vico Lab”—and in true Pinoy fashion, they didn’t fail to deliver.
