As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread across the globe, the committee behind the 2020 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) has decided to take the event out of the cinema and into the online world.
The decision was announced on October 8, Thursday, by committee spokesperson Noel Ferrer. In an Instagram post, he said that the MMFF has also moved the deadline for film submissions from October 15 to November 15. Finished films based on approved scripts can also be submitted until November 30, from the original deadline of October 31.
“This will give producers and filmmakers more time na puliduhin pa ang kanilang mga entries,” Ferrer wrote. (Read: 4 Amazing Films By Venice Film Fest Best Director Lav Diaz)
