Heads up, Armys! The Mcdonald’s BTS Meal will finally arrive in the Philippines on Friday, June 18.
Consisting of a nine-or 10-piece McNuggets, a large drink, the Mcdonald’s world-famous fries, and the special cajun and sweet chili sauces, the much-anticipated meal will now be on a pre-order and reservation basis so as to prevent customers from flocking to branches.
To make fans more excited, McDo crews around the country are promoting and hyping the BTS Meal and the upcoming second merch drop of the famous boy group. One of these promotions is the “I Purple You” Dance Challenge. (Read: How BTS Inspired This Author to Write Best-Selling Fanfics)
I Purple You or borahae in Korean is a phrase coined by BTS’s V, which means “I will love you until the end of days,” since violet is the last color in the rainbow.
I Purple You Challenge
For the dance challenge, McDo crews from different branches film themselves dancing to different BTS songs. And we have to admit, they have really good concepts, and they all dance well! They even make use of transitions that many TikTokers nowadays use, which makes watching all the more pleasing.
McDo Apalit‘s concept is that the crew members, including delivery riders, hear the song ‘Dynamite’, and start dancing to different parts of the song. They used transitions and funky camera angles for the shot, and they were all synchronized while dancing!
Meanwhile, McDo San Pablo Plaza danced to ‘Boy with Luv’, and the crew was joined by FoodPanda riders who were game to take on the challenge with them! As for McDo McKinley West, they dance to ‘Idol’, and makes use of the night lighting from their big ‘M’ sign outside.
