The youth might not be high risk of contacting the COVID-19 but it doesn’t mean they are immune to it. Children are still among the severely victims of the virus, that’s why child care should be observed during the pandemic.
But in a third world country such as the Philippines, child care is hard to fulfill. For poor communities, the Luzon lockdown means certain hunger for their families and infants.
This is the reason why Filipino singer Marcelito Pomoy started giving COVID-19 relief donations with essential supplies for infants.
In his self-titled YouTube vlog, the America’s Got Talent finalist gave away vitamins, powdered milk, and diapers in a village that is under a “total lockdown” due to a confirmed case of COVID-19.
“I know this is too risky but thinking about those families who really need food and cannot go out because of the total lockdown, [so] we decided to personally go there and distribute it to them,” Marcelito said on Facebook.
Marcelito also encouraged parents, who are in need of baby supplies, to send him a message.
