Mang Jose The Movie
The movie is called ‘Mang Jose’, just like the song. It stars singer and comedian Janno Gibbs as the superhero, with Mikoy Morales, Manilyn Reynes, Bing Loyzaga, and Jerald Napoles. It is directed by Rayner Brizuela, who says the song by Parokya ni Edgar is the “most striking song” for him, and impacted his film journey greatly.
“Itong Mang Jose ay Love letter ko para sa inyo Parokya ni Edgar,” he said about the movie. Rayner adds that the movie is also a love letter for those who dream of great things for themselves, and those who are close to giving up. (Read: 4 Family-Friendly Films for Children of Different Age Groups)
“Pruwebang makukuha mo rin lahat ng gusto at kailangan mo. Minsan di sa paraang gusto mo, pero makukuha mo! Ilaban niyo lang!,” he says.
