Manam Comfort Filipino is known for both its traditional Filipino dishes such as sisig and gising gising and Filipino favorites with a twist like their crispy palabok and watermelon sinigang. But with the COVID-19 pandemic, the popular restaurant that has families and friends lining up to get a table had to cease dine-in operations to protect both their staff and customers.
Luckily, a few weeks back, The Moment Group—Manam’s mother company—has decided to open some of their brands’ branches for take out and delivery. Among these branches is Manam.
As expected, the upgrade has excited many patrons, as Manam’s dishes are not only mouthwatering, but also good for sharing at an affordable price! Over the course of the quarantine period, regular customers have been ordering at Manam for birthday celebrations, family gatherings, and regular family meals so they could still have a taste of “going out” even while they’re at their homes. However, not everyone is currently staying with their families or friends, which meant an order from Manam will be a little too much for just one person—until now.
Recently, Manam has launched their “Benta Box,” a spin on the famous bento box of Japan. It features 26 of its classic dishes in different combinations!
With Filipinos known to love rice meals with side dishes, Manam’s Benta Box consists of a classic ulam (viand), rice, and a side dish, which starts at P185 per set. Some of their combinations are crispy sisig with their famous gising gising, sinigang na beef short rib, and watermelon with rice. (Read: Travel Around Philippines With These Fruits in Season!)
