Legazpi Sunday Market Announces ‘Soft Re-opening’

You can also have your Legazpi Market favorites delivered at your doorstep!

Weekend markets are a hub for selling anything and everything under the sun—you name it, they have it! But due to the community quarantine and the COVID-19 pandemic, weekend markets had to close to ensure the safety of both the vendors and customers, as these markets draw a hefty crowd that can pose health risks.

One of the weekend markets that had to stop operations is the Legazpi Sunday Market in Makati City. The market entertains vendors who sell food such as cakes, sausages, authentic cuisines, and bottled condiments. And because of the good quality products they sell, these vendors have attracted their own regular customers—or ‘suki,‘ as we Filipinos like to call it. This is also the reason why many are elated to learn that the Legazpi Sunday Market will have a soft re-opening on Sunday, June 7. Its management has made the announcement through their Facebook page last Tuesday, June 2. (Read: Here’s a list of PH restaurants that are open for take out and delivery)

Apart from this, the market management has also extended its reach to address the needs of their suki who wouldn’t want to personally brave the crowds at the weekend market. To help vendors and customers connect with each other without having to take the risks of getting exposed to the COVID-19 virus, they have set up a Legazpi Sunday Market Facebook group where vendors could post their contact details.

My Pope lists some of the Legazpi Sunday Market vendors who have posted their products and contact numbers in the said Facebook group.
