“Last Christmas” will give you a warm, fuzzy feeling perfect for the cold weather

‘Tis the season for hot chocolate, fuzzy blankets, and of course, holiday movies. This year, Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones, Me Before You) and Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians, The Travel Show) are offering moviegoers a feel-good, inspirational movie just in time for the holidays.

Last Christmas, a romantic comedy directed by Paul Fieg, revolves around the story of Kate (Clarke), who works as an elf at a Christmas shop, and Tom (Golding), a mysterious guy she sees outside their store. The two develop an unusual friendship, as Tom influences Kate into finding her life’s purpose by volunteering for a shelter for the homeless. In the process, Kate starts to do more good things and take care of herself more.

Known for playing feisty Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, Emilia Clarke transforms into the messy-yet-adorable Kate and sings Last Christmas––she actually has a good voice! Meanwhile, Henry Golding who played the dashing Nick Young in Crazy Rich Asians will make the audience swoon––again––as he inspires Kate to find hope and meaning in her life.

Featuring songs from George Michael––one-half of the duo Wham!––who sings the titular song, Last Christmas shows us that we can all do good for others, even in our little ways, and it can be done even on the most ordinary of days. The movie shows us what the true spirit of Christmas is: happiness and giving back.

From notable actors to established songs, The Last Christmas is sure to bring a smile to your face after watching it!
