3 Life Lessons From The Kissing Booth 3 When You Need To Make A Tough Decision

This is the culmination of a story that all started with a kissing booth!

Last week, Netflix launched the third and final installment of the Kissing Booth movies globally. Starring Joey King, Jacob Elordi, and Joel Courtney, the Kissing Booth’s story has finally come to a finish three years after the original movie adaptation was released to the world.

While there were some that criticized the story, which was based on the novel of the same name by Beth Reekles, the movies were widely accepted by audiences around the world. Teenagers and young adults were a vast part of the viewers around the globe, as they can relate to the characters in some way. (Read: It’s Official: The Kissing Booth 3 Comes To Netflix This August)

And for the third movie, the characters faced various challenges and had to make tough decisions that many face during their younger years. Which is why we’ve rounded up some of the lessons that we learned from Kissing Booth 3 in case anyone needs to hear it right now.

As love comes naturally to humans, whether it be platonic or romantic, we often think that love could conquer all. While in a perfect world, that would be true, in the world we live in, there are times that love just isn’t enough. And in the Kissing Booth 3, you’ll see that life can have other plans for you–and those plans don’t necessarily complement the romantic aspect of your life.

Life and the major decisions it comes with can teach you that no matter how much love you have, and can give to others, some situations require more logic rather than emotion.

In the second installment in the series, Elle (Joey King) was faced with the tough decision of where to go to college. She can either go to Harvard with her boyfriend, Noah (Jacob Elordi), or fulfill a childhood promise and attend college at Berkeley with her best friend, Lee (Joel Courtney). And no matter which decision she’d make, hearts were going to be broken. (Read: 3 Valuable Lessons We Can Learn From TV Moms)

But in the end, Elle learned that she should be making decisions based on what she wants and not what anybody else wants for her. She decides to look at the pros and cons of going to each university, and somewhere along the way discovers her passion. With this realization, she ultimately goes to the school that is calling her name and her heart.

Prior to the third movie, Elle always thought she had everything planned out. What she wanted to do in the future, where she wanted to go, and of course, which college she would be attending. But as mentioned, life got in the way, and she faced tough decisions, heartbreaks, and disappointments.

However, fast forward to a few years later, Elle finds herself successful in her chosen field. She has a booming career, a great relationship with the people around her, and has a new perspective on life. Somewhere along the way, she had also discovered herself, and realized things about life that she couldn’t see when she was younger.
