If you’ve watched (or even heard of) the K-drama Start Up, you would have for sure heard of the name Kim Seon Ho. The Korean actor played the role of Han Ji Pyeong— the second male lead character in the 16-episode drama about the fictional Silicon Valley, “Sandbox.”
But even with him playing the second lead next to Nam Joo Hyuk (who played the role of Nam Do San), Seon Ho caught the hearts of viewers with his charm and endearing portrayal of his character. Viewers and fans even gave him the nickname ‘Good Boy,’ to symbolize his kilig-inducing smile and attitude! (Read: 3 Restaurants, Cafes Owned by Your Favorite Korean Celebrities)
And now, Seon Ho is on to bigger things— including an endorsement deal with Philippine telecommunications giant, Globe! He follows after the K-pop girl group Blackpink, whose Globe campaign launched back in January.
Kim Seon Ho Tries Chicharon
Among Seon Ho’s projects with Globe is a question and answer video with food. Titled “#Reinvent the meaning of kilig with #GlobeKimSeonHo,” the video shows the 34-year-old actor opening some packages from Pinoy fans that contained well-loved Filipino snacks.
“Filipino fans, thank you so much for sending Korean version of dried mangoes,” he said. “These snacks are actually new to me. Thank you so much and I’ll eat them well. I will eat these together with our staff during break time.”
But what he instantly recognized in the package was the Filipino classic snack chicharon!
“I think this is like pork skin, right?,” he asked the staff, “I think it’s right. It’s like fried pork skin?” (Read: Trust us, These Netflix Food Shows Teach the Best Kitchen Hacks!)
What’s more adorable is when Seon Ho ‘offered’ the chicharon to the audience when he was asked to try doing a harana for the fans. He says he didn’t have flowers with him, but hopes the chicharon was enough. How adorable!
His Visit to the Philippines
In the video, Seon Ho was asked what he would do if he visits the Philippines after the pandemic. (WATCH: DOT Gives Tips for Safe Travels in Breathtaking Video Ad)
“I heard Filipino food is really delicious, I really want to taste Filipino food,” Seon Ho shares. “I went to Cebu once, and I really enjoyed the food that time. I really want to go and eat delicious food,” he adds.
Seon Ho admits that he loves to eat snacks and even sneaks a bite or two in the car! “I really like snacks…Thank you very much and I will enjoy eating them,” the ‘Good Boy’ said.
