As the threat of COVID-19 continues to terrorize every corner of the globe, the influx of COVID-19 relief efforts from our most beloved celebrities never stops.
Celebrity couple Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo are the latest personalities to help our frontliners. Just this month, the couple donated boxes of face masks, face shields, and alcohol to Manila Hospital and Oriental Mindoro Southern District Hospital. In Jennylyn’s Facebook post on September 15, the Kapuso actress expressed her gratitude toward Filipino frontliners who have been working tirelessly to contain the virus for almost six months now.
“Maraming maraming salamat po sa ating mga bagong bayani. Ipagdarasal po namin na kayo ay manatiling malakas at malusog sa labang ito” the actress wrote in her caption.

On September 11, the couple also distributed several boxes of face shields, face masks, and sanitation supplies such as hand soap and alcohol to Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center in Marikina City and Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center (JRRMMC) in Manila.
On her Facebook page, Jennylyn shared photos of medical frontliners receiving their donations. The actress also uploaded a screenshot of a post by one healthcare worker who received a personal and heartfelt message from her.

“Thank you so much for all the work you’ve been doing. Words can’t express how thankful we all are for you,” she wrote. “Without you, this war against COVID would have been over. We would have been defeated. You gave us a fighting chance. You saved so many lives. You are so tired and yet you continue.”
