Jose Mari Chan, Maymay Entrata, Other Artists to Raise Funds for Caritas PH

Enjoy a great night of music while at the same time raise funds for a good cause!

Over the past few months, we’ve heard of and watched a string of virtual concerts— the new way of holding musical events amid the pandemic. And just in the past few weeks, UDD (formerly Up Dharma Down) held the “Not ALive Concert” for the premiere of the Netflix series Trese, and Ben&Ben held their first virtual concert for the year.

This coming weekend, another virtual concert will be held featuring various artists. The “Isang Tinig, Isang Lahi” concert will be headlined by artists like Regine Velasquez, Lea Salonga, Bamboo, and David Pomeranz. (Read: Pinoy Band ‘Run Dorothy’ Shares How COVID Changed PH Music)

The concert will be entirely free to watch online on June 26, 8 p.m., and June 27, 10 a.m.

A Benefit Concert

More than an entertainment event, “Isang Tinig, Isang Lahi” will be a benefit concert to raise funds for the COVID-19 response of Caritas Philippines. The fundraiser was initiated by Filipinos Abroad Voices United (FAVU), as Caritas Philippines has appealed for aid given the current situation we are in.

“With great urgency, let us reach out in Bayanihan, give a message of hope and material aid to those in need,” FAVU said. “We ask for your support to participate in a donation drive by watching a free global concert,” they added.

All donations made during the event will directly benefit communities, hospitals, and other charities Caritas is helping during the pandemic. (Read: 3 Ways Caritas PH Is Giving Support to Filipinos in Need)

‘Isang Tinig, Isang Lahi’

Other artists who will be present during the event are Apl de Ap, Pilita Corrales, Gary Valenciano, Ian Veneracion, Maymay Entrata, Manny Pacquiao, Ogie Alcasid, Martin Nievera, Moira dela Torre, and Jose Mari Chan. It will be hosted by Anthony Barion and Robi Domingo.

You may get your free tickets to “Isang Tinig, Isang Lahi” via their website or at KTX. It will also be live-streamed on Caritas Philippines’s Facebook page.
