As early as 4 or 5 years old. Parents should start teaching the basics of Christian values to their kids when the young ones enter preschool. Then, it will be deepened on the next levels or years.

Modelling and witnessing. This means that the young ones really need to see that the older ones are indeed doing and celebrating the religion. We adults need to serve as good role models because the kids will imitate what we are doing. If the parents regularly go to Mass, it will instill the Eucharist as an important event in the child’s formative years.

It is through the power of the Holy Spirit that we truly understand our faith and its details. That’s why prayer is very important. In everything that we do in relation to our faith, we do it with prayer. If you want to understand the Bible, for example, you do it through prayer.
