What is the best way to instill the Catholic faith among young children?

Modelling and witnessing. This means that the young ones really need to see that the older ones are indeed doing and celebrating the religion. We adults need to serve as good role models because the kids will imitate what we are doing. If the parents regularly go to Mass, it will instill the Eucharist as an important event in the child’s formative years.

Parents also need to ensure that they are translating their faith into action. In fact, at home, the parents should not just teach the faith, they need to show it. They are to be witnesses of the Catholic faith. (Read: Jennylyn Mercado’s Tips To Easing Your Child’s Worries Amid ‘New Normal’)

In everything that we do in relation to our faith, we do it with prayer. If you want to understand the Bible, for example, you do it through prayer. If you do the celebrations of the faith, you do it through prayer. (READ: 5 Daily Prayers to Teach to Your Children)
