Home Prayer of the Day Three Simple Prayers to Your Guardian Angel

Three Simple Prayers to Your Guardian Angel

Guardian angels watch over us, pray for us, and guide us in our thoughts and actions.

Angels are all around us. Some might not believe it, but everyone has one. Guardian angels watch over us, pray for us, and help guide us in our thoughts and actions.

Even Pope Francis believes in their presence, too! He never fails to remind us of their existence every October 2nd which marks the Feast of the Guardian Angels.

“According to church tradition, we all have an angel with us, who protects us and helps us understand things,” says Lolo Kiko. “How often have we heard, ‘I should do this, I should not do this, that’s not right, be careful…’ So often! It is the voice of our traveling companion. No one journeys alone and no one should think that they are alone.”

Here are 3 simple prayers you can recite to reach to your Guardian Angels:

Prayer to our Guardian Angel

Angel sent by God to guide me,
be my light and walk beside me;
be my guardian and protect me;
on the paths of life direct me.

Angel of God

Angel of God, my guardian dear,
to whom God’s love commits me here,
ever this day (or night) be at my side,
to light, to guard, to rule and guide.

Prayer to St. Michael

Saint Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
