And whether we admit it or not, we totally miss the drama and mystery that Gossip Girl gave us from 2007 to 2012–not to mention the beautiful outfits the characters wore in the show.

Fast forward to 2021, GG fans’ wishes have been granted. A reboot of the series has officially launched on HBO Max!

The reboot, which goes by the same title, features a new generation of elites–much like who Blair, Serena, Chuck, and their friends were. And unlike the original series, Gossip Girl does not run a blog. She instead runs an Instagram account where she posts photos of the people in their school in compromising situations.

It stars Jordan Alexander, Whitney Peak, Tavi Gevinson, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty (who was a stand-in for Chuck Bass in the original series), Zion Moreno, and Savannah Lee Smith.

But despite the new wave of elites in the 2021 reboot, one thing remains to be the same: the well-loved narrator. Kristen Bell reprises her role as the narrator who details the posts made by Gossip Girl herself.

You can watch the reboot of Gossip Girl on HBO Max.
