Frozen 2 raises ‘girl power’ to another level–and we are all for it!

The official trailer for Frozen 2 has been released, and we simply can’t let it go!

On Tuesday, June 11, Walt Disney Animation Studios released the official trailer for the movie sequel to Frozen––the 2013 Disney animation that left not just the toddlers, but even us adults singing along to songs like “Let It Go,” “Love is an Open Door,” and “Do You Want to Build a Snowman.

Compared to its movie prequel, Frozen 2 seems to be more mysterious and action-packed. By the looks of it, the movie will be revolving around Elsa and her journey to finding out the truth about her powers.

“The past is not what it seems,” says Pabbie (the troll who helped Elsa in the first film) in the trailer. “You must find the truth.”

In the trailer, viewers are met with mind-blowing scenes such as Elsa freezing the sea while she runs across it, Anna and Olaf rafting across a wild river in what seems to be a boat made of ice, Elsa preparing to battle a gigantic rock monster, and the sisters holding each other’s hands as they bravely cross a mysterious land covered with fog.

But what excites us most is the introduction of a new character to the movie.

The trailer shows Elsa’s multiple encounters with a mysterious horse which, according to Disney, is actually a Nokk–– a mythical water spirit that takes the form of a horse and uses the power of the ocean to guard the secrets of the forest.

Seems like the movie’s got a lot going on for Queen Elsa! Good thing for her, she’s got a reliable sister who vows to have her back always. “I won’t let anything happen to her (Elsa)” says Anna in the trailer.
