PH Hospitals Now Offer ‘Drive-Thru Testing’ for Safer Service

Drive-thru testing is considered to be safer because of lessened contact between health workers and individuals.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect individuals from all around the world, many can’t help but feel worried about their health and safety. This comes as thousands of new cases are being reported in both developed and developing countries every day.

In the Philippines per se, there has been a spike in new cases the past few days, as some daily numbers even reach 2,000. Because of this, many have been demanding mass testing, as the government currently prioritizes frontliners—health workers, uniformed men, hospital staff—and anyone else who are at risk of being exposed to the virus. Good thing, many hospitals and centers are now offering to test individuals who might have been exposed to the virus. For a safer process and lessened contact between health workers and individuals, some hospitals in the National Capital Region have even started offering drive-thru testing!
