In the early morning of November 1, this year’s most powerful tropical cyclone, Rolly (International name: Goni), made its first landfall in the island province of Bato, Catanduanes.
The typhoon also affected nearby provinces such as Albay and Camarines Sur in Bicol, killing 20 persons and affecting two million people, the Office of Civil Defense reported on Monday, November 2.
As our kababayans in the Southern part of Luzon continue to recover from the wake of super typhoon Rolly’s devastation, local celebrities are now taking an active part in the process as they offered and rallied for help for the affected communities.
So if you want to lend a helping hand to the victims of super typhoon Rolly, you might want to check out these initiatives by Barbie Imperial, Catriona Gray, Enchong Dee, and Gretchen Ho.

Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate and proud Bicolana Barbie Imperial was quick to call for donation through her social media accounts for her kababayans in the Bicol area.
“As a Bicolana living here in Manila, it really breaks my heart knowing that so many of my kababayans have lost their homes, livelihood, and worse, their families,” Barbie wrote in one of her Instagram posts. “Sa pamamagitan ng aking platform, hinihikayat ko po kayo na makiisa para tulungan ang mga nasalanta ng Bagyong Rolly,” Imperial stated.
