Fifth bishop of Malaybalay
On September 14, during a 9:00 AM Mass at the San Isidro Labrador Cathedral, Bishop-elect Pedregosa will be installed and ordained, and assume his new position. The schedule was announced by the CBCP at the 122nd online plenary assembly of bishops.
The celebration will be observing minimum health protocols, and will limit physical attendees to observe physical distancing rules due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Those who will not be able to enter the church premises may opt to watch it through the livestream on the Facebook pages of both the Cathedral and the Diocese.
Bishop-elect Pedregosa will succeed Archbishop Jose Cabantan and will be serving as the fifth bishop of the diocese. Archbishop Cabantan was appointed by Pope Francis as Archbishop of Cagayan De Oro last year, and was installed and ordained on August 28, 2020.
