Manila Auxillary Bishop Broderick Pabillo is now free of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19)!
The good news was announced by Fr. Carmelo Jek Arada, as he read Bishop Pabillo’s written homily during Mass held at the Our Lady of Peñafrancia Parish on Sunday, August 2. In the homily, Bishop Pabillo mentioned that he did not experience any symptoms of the disease. (Read: Bishop Broderick Pabillo Tests Positive for COVID-19)
“Nagpapasalamat ako sa inyo sa inyong patuloy na dasal para sa akin, damang dama ko ang iyong mga dasal,” he said. “Wala naman ako nararamdaman ng sintomas, at sa awa ng Diyos, ngayon ay COVID-free na ako ayon sa second swab test ko this week.”
Bishop Pabillo tested positive for COVID-19 late in July. He was asymptomatic.
In a webinar he attended last Saturday, the prelate thanked those who prayed for his fast recovery.
“I have no more virus,” the Bishop said. “I attribute this to your prayers. Prayers are really powerful.” (Read: Prayers for Those Affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic)
Bishop Pabillo will be returning to holding Mass celebrations again on Sunday, August 9, at the Manila Cathedral. It can be recalled that while he was recovering from the virus, the bishop has appointed priests to celebrate Mass on his behalf and to read the homilies he prepared.
