Arci Muñoz Joins Philippine Air Force Reservist Training

The Kapamilya actress is the first female celebrity from her generation to undergo training in the Philippine Air Force.

Filipina singer and actress Arci Munoz, who’s known for her roles in Camp Sawi and Pasion De Amore, is joining the growing list of local celebrities signing up to serve the country. 

On June 12, Independence Day, Arci announced that she is currently under Philippine Air Force’s training program to fulfill her dream to become an army reservist. (Read: 5 Patriotic Movies To Watch On Independence Day)

Maligayang Araw ng Kasarinlan mahal kong Pilipinas! Ngayon araw din ang aking unang pisikal na pagsasanay bilang kaunaunahang babae sa aking henerasyon at propesyon na sumasailalim sa #philippineairforce reservist BCMT- Basic Citizen Military Training,” Arci wrote in her Instagram post. 

The 31-year-old Arci, seen dressed in a full-on military uniform and a face mask while standing in front of the Philippine flag, also encouraged her fellow women to sign-up to the army and serve the country as a reservist. Arci is also joined by her leading man in Last Fool Show, JM De Guzman, who also volunteered for the Philippine Air Force. In the past, other male celebrities such as Gerald Anderson and Matteo Guidicelli also trained as reservists for the Philippine Army, while Dingdong Dantes and Rocco Nacino joined the training for the Philippine Navy.
