As the number of COVID-19 cases in the country rises each day, the Department of Health (DOH) has launched a campaign called ‘Bida Solusyon’ featuring actor Alden Richards to help raise awareness against the deadly disease.
On Wednesday, July 8, the DOH has officially announced on its social media that Alden will be its ambassador for good health and safety. The actor will serve as “Bida Champion” in an infomercial that aims to promote healthy living and safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In the infomercial, Alden encourages fellow Filipinos to practice the “BIDA” solutions, which stand for:
- Bawal walang mask,
- I-sanitize ang mga kamay at iwas hawak sa mga bagay,
- Dumistansya ng isang metro, and
- Alamin ang totoong impormasyon.
Alden also made sure to do his personal efforts to give back to his community during the quarantine period. Biñan Mayor Len Alonte shared that the Kapuso actor has sent food donations and treats to COVID-19 frontliners in Laguna from his McDonald’s branch.
