50 Business Leaders Are Selected For the Kindness and Leadership Asia Pacific Leading Lights

How often do those celebrations recognise the part played by kindness?

The inaugural Kindness and Leadership Asia Pacific Leading Lights initiative announced that they have selected 50 individuals from across the region who are overturning leadership stereotypes and building a new status quo– one that is grounded on kindness and respect.

The Kindness and Leadership Asia Pacific Leading Lights was launched by the Women of the Future Programme and supported by headline sponsor Asia Square. It recognizes leaders for their contributions in challenging the conventional leadership style and embodying the values of trust, collaboration, and inclusivity for the greater good. “The business world is quick to celebrate leaders of profitable and productive workplaces. But how often do those celebrations recognise the part played by kindness? The answer? They don’t,” their website states.

According to Pinky Lilani CBE DL, Founder of the Women of the Future Program, there is an urgent need of leaders who can inspire unity and trust among their followers and subordinates.

“In a world marked by global uncertainty, rapid change, and economic and political volatility, we are in urgent need of leaders who can inspire unity and trust, bring people together, and show us a better forward that is grounded on compassion, respect, and kindness.” (Read: These random acts of kindness by total strangers will make your day)

She added that the leading lights chosen across the Asia Pacific embody these values, and will “hopefully motivate a new leadership paradigm based on kindness that will ultimately result in a better society for everyone.”
